Encorp's Federal Corporation
Encorp Pacific (Canada) is a federally incorporated, not-for-profit, product stewardship corporation established in 1994 and appointed to fulfill the requirements of the Recycling Regulation, Schedule 1, Beverage Container Product Category (BC Reg.449/2004). As a non-share capital corporation under Part II of the Canada Corporations Act. The corporation is exempt from income tax provided that strict Canada Revenue Agency rules are observed. This type of incorporation identifies owners as members and not shareholders and places restrictions on the use of operating surpluses.
